Early Release Wednesdays
Students will be dismissed to buses, parent/guardian pick-up, and walking according to the weekly early release schedule below.
Students participating in extra‐curricular or co‐curricular activities who need to stay after school would be supervised by school staff until the conclusion of collaborative time. At that time, the students would be released to participate in their activities.
After Care and Extended Learning Options
Community Eligibility Provision
All Sikeston R-6 school buildings are participating in a Free Breakfast and Lunch Program for the current school year 2020-2021. This alternative is referred to as the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). All students enrolled at Sikeston R-6 may participate in the breakfast and lunch program at no charge. Household applications for free and reduced price meals will not be collected at these school sites.
Studies have shown that children who are not hungry perform better in school. By providing school meals to all children at no charge, we are hoping to create a better learning environment for our students.
The school breakfast and lunch that we serve follows U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines for healthy school meals. The Free Breakfast and Lunch Program cannot succeed without your support. Please encourage your children to participate in the school meal programs.
If your children attend any Sikeston R-6 school, breakfast and lunch will be available to them at no charge.
