News Release

               The Sikeston R-6 School District Board of Education has secured the services of the Missouri School Board Association to assist in the search for a new superintendent to replace Tom Williams who is retiring June 30, 2019. The MSBA consultant working with the Board is Dr. Jerry Waddle, long-time educator in Southeast Missouri and former faculty member at Southeast Missouri State University.

               In an effort to seek input from the staff and the public, the consultant will be hosting three meetings on March 4, 2019 in the cafeteria at the Junior High School, 510 Lindenwood. The meetings will be held at the following times:  Faculty and support staff – 4:00 p.m., Administrators - 5:00 p.m., and Public – 6:00 p.m. The employees and public will also be invited to complete an online survey that will be posted on the District website beginning March 4 at 7:00 p.m. and closing at 12:00 midnight, March 11.
