Below are the highlights from this year’s Reopening Plan. These items could change if COVID cases begin to rise in our community. We will continue to monitor the situation.

- PPE (masks, shields, etc) are optional in schools

- PPE is optional on buses

- Breakfasts will still be eaten in the classroom

- Lunch may be eaten in the cafeteria at full capacity or rotated through at half capacity, depending on building procedures

- Professional Development is now allowed for staff

- Daily temp checks are not required

- Social distancing at 3 feet is still in place

- Work spaces still need to be sanitized

- Communal meals amongst staff are allowed

- If someone is in contact with a positive while they have no mask and are not vaccinated, they must be quarantined for 10 days or only 7 days after a negative test

-Students 12 years and over may get the COVID vaccine, but are not required to do so. Those who are vaccinated will not be required to quarantine if exposed to a positive.

- Door opening times for elementary - We will allow Pre-K through 4th to open their buildings an extra 15 mins earlier this coming year. 7:45am is the earliest parents may drop off at Lee Hunter, Southeast, and Wing. 8:00am is the earliest that parents may drop off at the Kindergarten Center. We aren't doing it for the older grade levels because their drop offs are already prior to 8am.
