Sikeston R-6 Community,

This evening, the Sikeston Board of Education voted to amend the 2022-2023 school calendar, linked here. 

Due to an incredible amount of feedback from district and community stakeholders, along with staff survey responses, I believe it was necessary to recommend this amendment to the Board for their consideration.

I'd like to point out the changes for this school year.

- Wednesdays will return to full days of instruction (No early release).

- There are additional In-Service Days.

- Spring Break is now a full week.

- Last day of school is now May 17th. 

In all other respects, the calendar remains the same.
